John H C Hutt graduated from the University of Queensland in 1988. John was awarded the Certificate of Veterinary Dermatology in 1997, and worked as clinical assistant in dermatology at the Animal Health Trust from 1998 to 2000. He is also a former president of the British Veterinary Dermatology Study Group.

John has been involved in both general practice and referral dermatology for many years, and is therefore well placed to understand not only the complexities of veterinary dermatology, but also the pressures placed on general practice in pursuit of definitive diagnosis. John primarily sees small animal dermatology cases at North Kent Referrals although is occasionally called upon to travel to an equine patient.

In 2006 John was admitted to membership of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists (MACVSc) by examination in small animal medicine. He currently works alongside our clinical director Paul Mellor and colleagues to augment the internal medicine service.
